What went well: Matt Davidson, the top ranked Future Sox prospect currently in the minors, got the season started off right with a perfect night at the plate. The Charlotte Knight third baseman went 3-for-3 with two doubles and a walk. Micah Johnson flashed his power and speed by blasting a home run and racing around the bases for a triple. He also drew and walk and drove in two runs. Top ranked pitching prospect Chris Beck spun a solid outing, going 5 innings, striking out 3 and only allowed two earned runs.
