It was Rondon’s first ever four-hit game in his career. Courtney Hawkins stays hot, going 2-5 tonight and more notable, not striking out. It was the first game all season Hawkins did not strike out at least once and only the second time in the past 15 games going back to the end of last season. Tim Anderson and Keon Barnum both went 2-5 tonight, Barnum getting his 3rd and 4th base hits of the season. Rangel Ravelo went 2-4 tonight, he’s now hitting .357. Tyler Danish went three innings and striking out five while only allowing one earned run.
Who is Not: Carlos Sanchez went 0-5 with three strikeouts today, he’s struggling mightily to find himself in Charlotte. Myles Jaye was roughed up, giving up five earned runs in five innings. Similar results for Brad Goldberg, six earned runs in 4.1 innings pitched. Keenyn Walker went 0-4 with three strikeouts tonight, lowering his season average to .091.
