The offense for the affiliates struggled across the board on this full slate of action. Amazingly, each team scored exactly three runs. Only one team, Kannapolis, came out on top and that was behind another great start by righthander Tyler Danish.

Star of the Day: Tyler Danish, SP
Danish is off to quite the start in his first full season following his 26IP, 22/5 K/BB, 1.38 ERA performance in his short stint in Bristol last season. While he has been strong in his first five starts, today was the best start of his very impressive sophomore season. The 19-year-old was perfect through four and finished with 6 scoreless innings, 5 strikeouts, and he only allowed 3 baserunners (1H, 2BB). Danish was wildly efficient needing only 62 pitches to get through those 6 frames. Danish, 3-0, leads the South Atlantic League with his .84 ERA. Taking a deeper look into his stats show even more positive indicators as he has a GO/AO of 2.09 and he has limited left-handed hitters to a .159 batting average. The White Sox are stringing him along slowly as he has only thrown 32 innings in his first six outings but he has responded well and has likely pitched his way into being a top 5 White Sox prospect.
Tweets of Note
Jacob May and Joey DeMichele got some good swings in the last couple of games. Poor numbers this year, but no major issues evident lately.

Courtney Hawkins has altered his setup slightly. Hands are lower. Seems to have an improved two-strike approach, too. — Nathaniel Stoltz (@stoltz_baseball) May 4, 2014
Winston-Salem RHP J.B. Wendelken 85-92, T94, tired late. CH 76-81, massive separation and fade, relies heavily on it. — Nathaniel Stoltz (@stoltz_baseball) May 4, 2014
Indeed, as @stoltz_baseball, suggested, Francellis Montas will start tomorrow against Myrtle Beach. #WhiteSox
