Tim Anderson had a big day for Winston-Salem and Trayce Thompson and Jason Coats went yard in a day that also featured lots of good pitching for the White Sox affiliates. Nick McCully, J.B. Wendelken, Tony Bucciferro and Robinson Leyer all had solid starts.

He has slumped to hit just .180 in May, but does have six homers in the month. In April, Coats hit .305 with one home run. Overall he’s hitting .236/.296/.401.

Anderson shook off Friday’s hat trick with a 4-5 day at the plate in the full game Saturday. It was his sixth multi-hit game in the last eight games. Anderson is 16-38 (.421) during that stretch with one double, two triples and a home run. He’s not setting the world on fire this season, but he is holding his own in High-A in his first full professional season. He turns 21 in a few weeks (June 23).
