Star of the Day; Thad Lowry, SP
With the weather as his aid, Lowry threw a 5-inning no-hitter in what was his fourth start of the year. Lowry, a 5th round draft pick out of Spring High School in Texas, has been starting for the Intimidators after both starting and coming out of the pen for the Bristol Sox last year. While it’s too early to look at Lowry’s season totals, it’s encouraging that he has had two very strong starts to this point. Considering his workhorse frame and the reports that he was throwing mid 90’s in high school, Lowry should have considerable upside if all goes well for him.
