Better things are coming in for Michael Suiter, who is four years older than Adolfo. Suiter, the 24th rounder this year, was drafted out of Kansas after attending high school in Hawaii. (Hawaii to Lawrence, Kansas must be a culture shock.) Suiter is hitting .412 in five games with an OPS of 1.112.
Star of the day: Jacob May
May had a streaky rookie season and is starting to duplicate that this year. June isn’t quite over, but Saturday’s 4-5 game boosted his monthly lines to .376/.404/.538. His month-by-month OPS numbers are quite hilarious considering the sharp difference between the three. April: .441, May: 669, June: .942. Overall he’s hitting .262/.312/.380.
