Only three Sox affiliates played on Monday after Birmingham got rained out and the teams went 1-2 on the day.
Carolina 6, Winston-Salem 4
The Dash had an unremarkable day as Courtney Hawkins led the way going 1-3 with a walk, strikeout, and RBI. Jacob May and Keon Barnum were hitless. On the upside, Cleuluis Rondon continues to make contact at A+ going 1-4 with a strikeout and while the .239 average may not scream amazing, the lack of strikeouts show that he has room to grow.
Great Falls 7, Idaho Falls 3
In the battle of teams with “Falls” in their name, the Greater version comes out on top. Ethan Gross went 2-4 with a double and 2 RBIs, Chevy Clarke was 1-2 with 2 walks and Zach Fish went 1-3 with a walk. Starter Matt Ball was fantastic, only allowing one run over five frames with six strikeouts.
DSL Orioles 7, DSL White Sox 1
The DSL White Sox were thumped 7-1. The only hitter worth mentioning is Droherlin Mejia who went 2-4 with a strikeout. Reliever Jhoan Quijada had five strikeouts over five innings, but also five walks.
