It was an unlucky day for White Sox affiliates as they went 2-4, with their up level affiliates getting clobbered along the way. The Arizona White Sox got postponed due to weather.
Syracuse 9, Charlotte 3
A day after thumping the Chiefs, the Knights found themselves on the receiving end of a beat down, in only five innings of play due to wet grounds. Andy Wilkins went 1-2, Josh Phegley went 1-3 with a solo shot in the third, Marcus Semien went 1-1 with a walk, triple, and RBI and Matt Davidson went 0-2 with an RBI. Erik Johnson‘s nightmare 2014 season continued as he gave up seven earned runs in 2.2 innings pitched.
Jackson 4, Birmingham 0
The Barons got blanked by the Generals on Tuesday, with the Barons unable to string together any of their 10 hits into runs. Chris Curley went 2-4 with a double, Rangel Ravelo kept his hitting ways up by going 1-4. Jason Coats also had a nice night by going 1-3 with a walk. Tony Bucciferro was the tough luck loser, giving up two runs over six innings pitched while walking and striking out two.
Lynchburg 9, Winston-Salem 3
The Dash also found themselves getting clobbered as the Hillcats got 18 hits off of the Dash. Cleuluis Rondon went 2-5 with a double and an RBI as well as a stolen base, Mike Marjama went 2-3 with a double and Jake Peter is taking his promotion to Winston-Salem in stride by going 3-3 with a walk, raising his A+ batting average to .333. James Dykstra had a rough night on the mound, giving up six runs in four innings off of 11 hits.
Kannapolis 5, Lexington 1
The Intimidators found themselves in the winning column thanks to some wild pitches from Legends pitcher Kevin Perez. Jeremy Dowdy went 2-4 with a triple and an RBI while Eddy Alvarez got the other RBI for Kannapolis by going 1-3 with a walk. Ryan Leonards also went 2-3 on the evening. Robinson Leyer went seven innings but didn’t get the victory, despite striking out seven batters, allowing only one earned run, and walking none.
Great Falls 6, Orem 4
A number of Voyagers had a good game against the Owlz. Mason Robbins went 2-5 as did Zach Fish who had an RBI. Louie Lechich went 2-4 with a solo shot home run and Zach Fisher drove in two after going 1-5. Dane Stone was the winning pitcher, going five innings while only allowing two earned runs and striking out six.
DSL D-backs 5, DSL White Sox 2
The DSL White Sox fell to the D-backs thanks to two errors, which allowed the D-backs to take the lead. Roger Ramos went 2-4, Ylexander Villarroel went 1-4, Hanleth Otano went 1-4 with a run scored and Daniel Gonzalez went 1-4 with an RBI. Kevin Escorcia went five innings allowing two runs on five hits while striking out six.
