It was a rough day for the White Sox affiliates as they were swept by the competition. Marcus Semien continues to be a bright spot as he surges towards a spot in Chicago when the roster expand next month.
Norfolk 5, Charlotte 1
The Knights were dominated by Norfolk starter Tyler Wilson but he couldn’t slow down Marcus Semien as he went 2-3 with two doubles and a walk. Semien is hitting .500 over his past ten games and has raised his average from .248 to .271 over that span. Rome 5, Kannapolis 2
Eddy Alvarez went 2-5 but it actually lowered his average to .463 and starter Jordan Guerrero tossed a solid outing but the Intimidators fell Wednesday to the Rome Braves. Guerrero threw four innings, only allowing one earned run on four hits and two walks.
