Terance Marin paced the Knights, going seven scoreless innings, allowing four hits, two walks, while striking out three. In 15 innings pitched since his return from the Mexican league, Marin has pitched 15 scoreless innings, albeit with six strikeouts. Tyler Saladino provided Marin with run support, as Saladino notched a two-run home run (his first home run of the season) – one of his three hits on the night. Micah Johnson had a hit in four ABs, scoring and driving in a run in the process. Matt Davidson struck out twice – raising his K% to 32.6% – and went 0-3.

Salem 5, Winston-Salem 3
Robin Leyer lasted 2.2 IP as Salem tagged him for four earned on a homer, three hits, and three walks (one strikeout). Omar Narvaez had a multi-hit game and scored a run. Toby Thomas homered and struck out twice.
Birmingham and Kannapolis were rained out.
