White Sox Minor League Recap 7/1/2015: Affiliates get sucker punched

Norfolk 2, Charlotte 0
While Kyle Drabek didn’t pitch spectacularly, he was a tough luck loser after going six innings of two run ball where he only allowed four hits. This is because behind him only Matt Davidson, Matt Tuiasosopo, Trayce Thompson and Chris Curley could manage hits – four singles. Davidson also had two throwing errors to bring his error total on the year to five.
Carolina 4, Winston-Salem 1
Brandon Brennan was our next down-on-his-luck loser after he only gave up two earned in six innings. Trey Michalczewski had the only RBI with a sac fly. It scored Adam Engel, who went 1-3 with a double and and a walk.

AZL White Sox 6, AZL Indians 5

One of the two elusive wins on the day. Catcher Daniel Gonzalez led the way going 3-5 with three RBIs, with no other player recording an RBI. Corey Zangari went 1-4 with a walk and Mick Adolfo scored two runs after going 1-4 with a walk. While starter Kevin Escorcia was roughed up for five runs in three innings, Brandon Quintero, Ryan Powers and Jaider Rocha combined to shut out the Indians the rest of the way.

DSL White Sox 9, DSL Reds 4

Hanleth Otano went 2-4 with three RBIs while Maiker Feliz was 2-3 with a triple and two RBIs. Carlos Diaz went 5.2 innings after Nelson Acosta went 3.1 and neither gave up an earned run. Diaz also struck out five.
