Charlotte 3, Columbus 1
Erik Johnson continued his mastery of the International League by tossing seven innings of one-run ball with his only blemish being a solo home run. Johnson struck out six batters and only allowed three hits and one walk. Johnson has a ridiculous 1.04 ERA in his last ten starts and is actually having a better year than he had during his breakout 2013 campaign. Outfielder Jason Coats blasted a home run and Dayan Viciedo went 2-4 to provide all the run support Johnson would need for the win. Zach Phillips and Junior Guerra threw a scoreless 8th and 9th inning respectively to close out the game.
Mississippi 1, Birmingham 0
Tyler Danish had his best start of the season only to have it end up in a loss as the Barons were out-dueled on Tuesday night. Danish only allowed an unearned run to score over 7.1 innings, which was his longest outing of the year. The Birmingham offense was mostly silent, though Joey DeMichele was a bright spot as he went 1-2 with two walks. Shortstop Tim Anderson went 0-3 with three strikeouts but did walk and steal his 46th base of the season.

Asheville 6, Kannapolis 0
Starter Thad Lowry struggled through five innings and the Kannapolis offense was shut down as the Intimidators lost to the Asheville Tourists. Lowry allowed five runs over five innings while walking three and allowing four hits. Shortstop Ryan Leonards walked twice and stole his 12th base and third baseman Cody Daily went 1-3. Reliever Connor Walsh allowed one run over three innings of relief.
Great Falls 6, Grand Junction 2
Brannon Easterling tossed five innings without allowing an earned run and the Voyagers offense scored six runs on ten hits and five walks to easily defeat the Grand Junction Rockies. Easterling struck out six while only allowing three hits and one walk. Landon Lassiter, Antonio Rodriguez, and Johan Cruz, the 1-2-3 hitters in the Great Falls lineup, all had identical 2-5 nights with a double. Second baseman Dante Flores went 2-3 with a walk and is hitting .291/.349/.440 on the season.
AZL White Sox 10, AZL Giants 4
The AZL Sox blasted the Giants behind big games from red-hot Corey Zangari and catcher Daniel Gonzalez. Zangari went 3-5 with two doubles and is now hitting .571 over his last five games with two home runs and 11 RBI’s. Daniel Gonzalez, who spent the past two seasons in the DSL, went 4-4 with a home run, three RBI’s, and a walk. The home run was Gonzalez’s first professional long ball and the offensive outburst raised his season average from .231 to .275. It was an overall fantastic day for former international signees, as Maiker Feliz and Jhoandro Alfaro both went 2-5.
DSL White Sox 10, DSL Red 0
Nelson Acosta, Fernando Caro, and Jhoan Quijada combined to throw a rare DSL no-hitter on Tuesday. Acosta, a 2013 international signee out of Venezuela, threw seven perfect innings while striking out six. Fernando Caro allowed the only blemish of the night with an 8th inning walk, but was able to preserve the no-hitter. Acosta, who doesn’t turn 18 until this Saturday, has a 1.71 ERA over ten starts this year for the DSL Sox and certainly is looking to come stateside soon. Third baseman Ramon Beltre went 3-4 with a stolen base to lead the offense and has 12 hits over his last 21 at bats.
