White Sox Minor League Recap 8/28/2015: Fulmer strikes out four

Charlotte 5, Durham 2
Brad Penny threw a quality start, throwing 6.2 innings of two run ball while striking out three. Junior Guerra took over until the ninth, with two strikeouts in his 1.1 innings of work and Zach Phillips struck out the side for his eleventh save.
Leury Garcia led the way on offense, going 2-5 with a double and home run and driving in two runs. Matt Tuiasosopo and Kevan Smith contributed RBIs of their own.
Chattanooga 5, Birmingham 0
Tyler Danish turned in a decent start – seven hits over 5.1 innings allowing only two runs while striking out two and walking two.
Those two runs were two much for the Barons offense to overcome as the Barons only managed two base hits – a single from Tim Anderson and a double by Danny Hayes.
Winston-Salem 6, Frederick 3
Carson Fulmer took the mound for the Dash and struck out four in three scoreless innings while allowing two hits and two walks. Jake Cose picked up the win after besting Fulmer – striking out five in three innings of relief and walking one. Michael Ynoa struck out the only two batters he retired while giving up a run, Andre Wheeler allowed a run and Euclides Leyer threw a perfect ninth for his fifth save.
The offense was a well spread out attack – five Dash players recorded RBIs. Jake Peter and Trey Michalczewski each went 2-5 with an RBI and run scored. Adam Engel was 1-4 with a double and walk, in addition to his 62nd stolen base. Nick Basto was 1-3 with a double.
Kannapolis 7, Delmarva 3
Thad Lowry and Brad Salgado combined to only allow two earned runs en route to an Intimidator victory. Lowry struck out four batters in 5.2 innings of work while only allowing one walk.
Toby Thomas was 2-3 with a walk and two RBIs, Mason Robbins was 1-4 with an RBI, Cody Daily was 1-3 with two RBIs. Michael Suiter went 2-4 in the leadoff spot with a double and RBI and Hunter Jones went 2-5.
Great Falls 4, Billings 3
Brandon Easterling went six innings, allowed three runs while striking out six. Tanner Mendonca picked up the win with two innings of scoreless relief.
Dante Flores went 2-4 with a solo home run. Grant Massey was 1-4 with an RBI. Sikes Orvis was 1-3 with an RBI as was Jackson Glines.
AZL Padres 4, AZL White Sox 2
Christopher Comito picked five innings and only allowed two runs while striking out two. Andres Sanchez took the loss by allowing two unearned runs in his two innings of work.
Jake Fincher went 2-4 with a triple, home run and an RBI. Daniel Mendick was 1-4 with a double. Seby Zavala was hitless, but recorded an RBI. Corey Zangari went 2-3 with two singles.
