Indianapolis 5, Charlotte 2
Charlotte may have lost this game, but there were plenty of positives to take away. Tyler Danish got the start for the Knights and turned in his best AAA start by going seven innings and striking out seven batters to two walks and six hits – only surrendering one earned run in the process. Danish was young for AA, let alone AAA and MLB, so a string of good starts could get the funky right back on track. Sadly, Brad Goldberg lost this game after giving up a three run home run.
On offense the Knights couldn’t get runners in, but there were plenty of multi-hit games. Adam Engel and Carlos Sanchez both went 2-5, Sanchez scoring a run. Jason Coats was 3-4 with wak and RBI. Jason Bourgeois was 2-4 with the other RBI,

Alec Hanson got the start for the Voyagers and once again looked stellar – striking out six batters on only 72 pitches, while giving up three runs.. But most importantly, Hanson surrendered no walks – meaning the Sox might not have been bluffing when they said they saw an easy fix for the former MLB draft favorite to go number one.
