7/25/16 Recap: Dash, Robbins have big night while Comito throws gem for Voyagers

Carlos Rodon struggled in a rehab outing with the Knights, but otherwise it was a solid night for the system. Mason Robbins had himself a ballgame for the Dash, going 5-for-5 while Chris Comito tossed a gem for Great Falls.
Louisville 6, Charlotte 2
Carlos Rodon had a shaky rehab outing with the Knights, giving up two earned runs on five hits over 3.2 innings. He walked two batters against three strikeouts and gave up a home run to boot. Kameron Loe didn’t fair much better, also giving up two runs on seven hits over 3.1 frames. The Knights drew six walks on offense but weren’t able to capiatlize much. Adam Engel went 1-for-5 with a double and RBI, while Danny Muno’s 2-for-4 night helped Charlotte tack on their only other run.
Chris Volstad will start for the Charlotte Knights tomorrow.
Winston-Salem 10, Frederick 1
It was a near perfect night all around for the Dash. Thad Lowry notched a quality start, giving up no earned runs over six with three strikeouts and just one walk. Drew Hasler picked up where he left off and tossed three scoreless innings to finish off the game. At the plate, Winston-Salem compiled ten runs on 17 hits. Nick Basto and Marcus Davis each had three hit games, the latter of which also tallied four RBIs with two doubles. Toby Thomas went deep while Mason Robbins had a night to top all. Robbins went 5-for-5 with three runs scored to raise his season average to .318.
Robinson Leyer will see the mound as a starter tomorrow when he goes for the Dash.
Kannapolis 9, Delmarva 0
Brandon Easterling got the win for the Intimidators, covering 5.2 innings while surrendering just three hits. The offense picked him up. Tyler Sullivan went 1-for-5 with an RBI double. Antonio Rodriguez also got two RBIs, going 3-for-5 with two runs scored. Bradley Strong impressed with four walks, which fueled a total of ten free passes for Kannapolis.
Max Beatty will toe the rubber for Kannapolis tomorrow.
Great Falls 1, Grand Junction 0
Chris Comito had arguably the best outing of his season. He earned himself the win behind six innings of shutout ball, comprised of just three hits, no walks, and eight strikeouts. Comito had little margin for error because the Voyagers managed just four hits against Grand Junction. Jameson Fisher, Aaron Schnurbusch, and Bradly Conlan each helped in that category, while Anthony Villa went 1-for-2 with a pair of walks.
Great Falls starter Yosmer Solorzano looks to bounce back tomorrow after a couple recent rough outings.
