Colson Montgomery & Bryan Ramos
“Soon”.
Oscar Colás & Sean Burke
After a roaring start post-demotion to Charlotte, Oscar Colás hit a rough patch at the plate last week, hitting only four singles across 24 ABs in six games.
Sean Burke was able to better harness his WHIP in his start against the RailRiders. Unfortunately, three of the four hits he allowed were longballs.
Noah Schultz & Norge Vera
“Soon”, part two.
Lenyn Sosa
Lenyn Sosa went on a bit of a home run binge against Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, as he continues to demonstrate his ability to handle AAA pitching.
Peyton Pallette
Peyton Pallette had another strong outing, this time against Carolina. Pallette was efficient with his pitches, throwing nearly 71% for strikes.
Cristian Mena
Cristian Mena had a two start week against Rocket City, neither of which went particularly well. Walks piled up (four in three innings) in the first start, while the third inning saw Mena allow five of his six hits before getting yanked.
José Rodriguez
A strong Sunday performance saved José Rodriguez’s statline last week, homering twice (once to right field and once to left).
Best of the Rest
Nate Mondou
Nate Mondou led the charge offensively for the Knights last week, hitting three doubles and two home runs to pair with a 1.550 OPS in five games (16 ABs).
Victor Reyes
Victor Reyes tried his best to keep up with Mondou, as he also hit two home runs and had an OPS just shy of Mondou’s at 1.467 in five games (15 ABs).
Tyler Neslony
Tyler Neslony was the only Baron to really yield an above average result against Rocket City. Neslony batted .350/.519/.450 for a .969 OPS, hitting two doubles and walking six times across six games (20 ABs).
Fraser Ellard
Fraser Ellard was great in both of his appearances last week. The 25 year old lefty threw three innings, allowing only one hit and struck out five Trash Pandas.
Michael Turner & Wilfred Veras
Catcher Michael Turner had a very nice week at the plate for the Dash, slashing .412/.474/.529 for a 1.003 OPS with two doubles and seven hits in 17 ABs in five games.
Wilfred Veras swung a hot bat this past week as well. Four of the 20 year old Veras’ eight hits went for extra bases (three doubles, one home run), as Veras wrapped the week with a .942 OPS in six games (23 ABs).
Haylen Green
Haylen Green threw the ball well in both of his appearances last week, pitching 2.2 innings while allowing two hits and striking out six.
Tristan Stivors
Tristan Stivors was effective in his lone appearance of the week, throwing 1.2 innings while allowing one hit and one walk but struck out four IronBirds.
Jacob Burke
Jacob Burke produced a very solid week against the Mudcats. Burke slashed .385/.448/.538 for a .986 OPS, hitting two doubles and one triple while scoring seven runs across seven games (26 ABs).
Connor McCullough
May is the month of Connor McCullough. The 23 year old McCullough has made three starts in May, where he hasn’t allowed a run, yielded a measly four hits and one walk in 19 innings while striking out 22. His latest outing saw him no-hit Carolina to record the first no-hitter under the Cannon Ballers moniker.
Tanner mcdougal
Tanner McDougal rebounded from a rough outing his last time out. McDougal showed better command in his latest outing, as the 20 year old matched season highs of innings pitched (four) as well as strike outs (six).
I don’t recall hearing of Mondou before. Is he a prospect?
Mondou is an org depth guy and not a prospect, 28 years old and originally drafted in 2016 by OAK.
“Getz, when is …”. “Soon!”
