The Trending on the Farm series will highlight player trends from the top prospects in the White Sox system as well as any other notable performances across all affiliates.
Top of the Crop (Trending on the Farm)
NOTE: This piece will focus on players that are trending on the farm currently in the minor leagues. Jonathan Cannon and Dominic Fletcher are omitted since they‘re with the White Sox (Fletcher has also exceeded rookie status). The “Top of the Crop” portion was determined prior to the Dylan Cease trade, hence why Drew Thorpe, Samuel Zavala, and Jairo Iriarte are all omitted.

Noah Schultz – MLB Pipeline White Sox #2
Saturday came and went, and Noah Schultz faced a tough Montgomery lineup and was able to keep them mostly quiet. Schultz threw 67% of his pitches for strikes and finally permitted his first AA walk.

Edgar Quero was the second best Barons offensive contributor last week, backed by his 5-for-5 performance at the historic Rickwood Field.
Nick Nastrini – MLB Pipeline White Sox #8

Jake Eder – MLB Pipeline White Sox #10
A tough opening frame in Jake Eder’s start put the biggest blemishes on his outing, allowing five of his six runs in the first inning, all via the longball.

Peyton Pallette – MLB Pipeline White Sox #12

Two hits (double, single) led off the frame before setting down the next two batters. Then a two run double, two run home run, and another double ended Pallette’s day. The last double would come in to score on a home run to the very next batter.
Bryan Ramos – MLB Pipeline White Sox #5
Bryan Ramos only appeared in the first two games for the Knights last week, securing hits in both before missing the last four of the series.
George Wolkow – MLB Pipeline White Sox #14
18-year-old George Wolkow was able to connect on a couple extra base hits last week, driving a ball to the opposite field for a home run against Myrtle Beach.
Jacob Gonzalez – MLB Pipeline White Sox #7
Jacob Gonzalez couldn’t get much going with the bat against Montgomery, but did walk (three) more than he struck out (two) against the Biscuits.
