Trending on the Farm: Bryan Ramos heats up against Durham

The Trending on the Farm series will highlight player trends from the top prospects in the White Sox system as well as any other notable performances across all affiliates.

Bryan Ramos – MLB Pipeline White Sox #5

Still DH-ing, 22-year-old Bryan Ramos was able to get into a nice groove at the plate last week against Durham. Ramos appeared in four games, collecting a hit in every game and an extra base hit in three of four.

Jake Eder – MLB Pipeline White Sox #10

Jake Eder was one among several notable pitching prospects to be invited to Chicago to throw bullpen sessions in front of Brian Bannister and the pitching brain-trust in lieu of their normal minor league starts. Eder was also pulled up to operate as the extra man during a double-header, but was officially optioned to AAA after.

Edgar Quero – MLB Pipeline White Sox #4

Edgar Quero had a solid first full week in AAA, appearing in four of six total games.

Peyton Pallette – MLB Pipeline White Sox #12

Operating in a piggy-back role once again early in the week, Peyton Pallette also saw action on Sunday where he hurled a spotless inning. Pallette has now strung together three consecutive stellar relief outings since shifting roles in July.

Nick Nastrini – MLB Pipeline White Sox #8

24-year-old Nick Nastrini was able to build upon his previous outing an put together another good start for the Knights. While the walks were still higher than you’d like, Nastrini limited the damage and kept momentum heading in the right direction for his next outing.

Noah Schultz – MLB Pipeline White Sox #2

Noah Schutlz did not pitch at an affiliate last week, as he appeared in the Future’s Game on Saturday.

Colson Montgomery – MLB Pipeline White Sox #1

Colson Montgomery had a short week in Charlotte, seeing action in three games before heading to Texas to appear in the Future’s game.

George Wolkow – MLB Pipeline White Sox #14

After a scorching-hot two week stretch, 18-year-old George Wolkow went hitless in six games in Myrtle Beach, but did walk five times during the series.

Jacob Gonzalez – MLB Pipeline White Sox #7

Jacob Gonzalez struggled against the Mississippi Braves last week, managing five hits in 26 at-bats.

Brooks Baldwin – MLB Pipeline White Sox #24

23-year-old Brooks Baldwin had a solid performance in his first full week as a Knight. Baldwin slashed .273/.385/.545 for a .930 OPS with three doubles, a home run, three RBI, more walks (four) than strikeouts (two), five runs scored, and was successful on his only stolen base attempt in six games.

Zach DeLoach – MLB Pipeline White Sox #29

25-year-old Zach DeLoach batted .333/.429/.556 for a .985 OPS with a double, home run, five RBI, four runs, and went 2-for-2 in stolen bases in five games.

Sean Burke – MLB Pipeline White Sox #19

24-year-old Sean Burke had a very strong outing for the Knights against the Durham Bulls last week.

Wilmer Difo

32-year-old Wilmer Difo batted .375/.500/.438 with a .938 OPS in five games against Durham last week. Difo had a double, two RBI, and scored four runs.

Zach Remillard

30-year-old Zach Remillard hit .308/.286/.615 for a .901 OPS with a double, home run, five RBI, and two runs scored in four games.

Davis Martin

27-year-old Davis Martin had a nice outing as he continues to build himself back up after Tommy John surgery. Martin pitched three and two thirds scoreless frames allowing just three hits and struck out three.

Aaron McGarity

29-year-old right-hander Aaron McGarity made three scoreless appearances last week, throwing two and one third innings with two strikeouts.

Trending on the Farm: AA (Birmingham)

Mario Camilletti

25-year-old Mario Camilletti was promoted to Birmingham last week and performed well in his first taste of AA. Camilletti hit .385/.500/.615 for an 1.115 OPS with a home run, three RBI, and two runs scored in four games.

Johan Domínguez

Johan Domínguez was sent to cover some innings for the Barons and couldn’t have delivered a much better performance.

Chase Plymell

26-year-old Chase Plymell had two strong appearances for the Barons against the Mississippi Braves last week. The righty threw six total innings allowing four hits, one run (earned), and struck out five.

Tyler Schweitzer – MLB Pipeline White Sox #28

It was a two-start week for 23-year-old southpaw Tyler Schweitzer, the second of which was the more efficient outing. Schweitzer pitched five innings allowing three hits, two runs (earned), walked one, and struck out five.

Trending on the Farm: A+ (Winston-Salem)

Ryan Galanie

24-year-old Ryan Galanie slashed .235/.350/.588 for a .938 OPS with two home runs, three RBI, four runs scored, and was successful on his lone stolen base attempt in five games against Greensboro last week.

Wes Kath

21-year-old third baseman Wes Kath put together another good week at the plate, batting .235/.409/.588 with a .997 OPS. Kath homered twice, drove in three, scored four runs, and was 1-for-2 in stolen bases in five games.

Tommy Vail

25-year-old southpaw Tommy Vail made his second start as a member of the Dash. While it wasn’t his sharpest, he was still effective.

Lucas Gordon

22-year-old left-hander Lucas Gordon was promoted to Winston-Salem last week and had a nice first outing versus the Grasshoppers. Gordon chucked five innings of one hit baseball, allowed two runs (earned), walked three, and struck out three.

Zach Franklin

25-year-old right-hander Zach Franklin threw two innings allowing one hit, one run (unearned), and struck out two.

Trending on the Farm: A (Kannapolis)

Connor Housley

22-year-old right-hander Connor Housley was one of a few bright spots for the Cannon Ballers last week. Housley made two appearances throwing four scoreless innings allowing two hits, two walks, and struck out eight.

Luke Bell

23-year-old righty Luke Bell made two scoreless appearances last week for Kannapolis. The righty threw four and one third innings allowing just two hits while striking out six.

Connery Peters

24-year-old righty Connery Peters made two scoreless appearances last week against Myrtle Beach. Peters allowed one hit, one walk, and struck out four.

Javier Mogollon – MLB Pipeline White Sox #21

18-year-old infielder Javier Mogollon had an outstanding week at the plate for the ACL White Sox. Mogollon slashed .667/.786/1.444 for a 2.230 OPS with a double, two home runs, two RBI, five walks to two strikeouts, and was successful on his lone stolen base attempt. In his first stateside action (37 ACL games), Mogollon has a .262/.404/.557 line with a .961 OPS, 20 extra base hits (12 doubles, eight home runs), and is 15-for-15 on stolen bases.

Yoán Moncada

Out on a rehab assignment since landing on the injured list in early April with an adductor strain, Yoán Moncada had a double and six total hits across three games with a 1.336 OPS in 10 at-bats.

Angelo Hernandez

18-year-old catcher Angelo Hernandez played in four games last week, batting .417/.500/.667 for a 1.167 OPS with a double, triple, and four RBI.

Arnold Prado

19-year-old outfielder Arnold Prado had a .375/.412/.688 slash line with a 1.100 OPS, a triple, home run, three RBI, and went 2-for-2 in stolen bases in five ACL games last week.

Anthony Imhoff

22-year-old southpaw Anthony Imhoff made one appearance last week totaling two innings of work. Imhoff, recently making his professional debut, allowed one hit, two walks, and struck out six.

Travis Lakins

30-year-old Travis Lakins appeared in two games throwing three and two thirds scoreless innings allowing just one walk while striking out seven.

Eyke Ugueto

18-year-old infielder Eyke Ugueto batted .500/.600/.625 for a 1.225 OPS with a double and six RBI in five games.

Marcelo Alcala

18-year-old outfielder Marcelo Alcala hit .350/.409/.700 for a 1.109 OPS with three extra base hits (two triples, home run), three RBI, and went 3-for-4 on stolen bases across six games.

Jhoangel Suarez

17-year-old infielder Jhoangel Suarez had a .988 OPS with a double in five games for the DSL White Sox last week, walking more (four) than he struck out (two) while also going 2-for-4 on stolen bases.

Ryan Castillo

19-year-old infielder Ryan Castillo had an .895 OPS with a home run, three RBI, and went 3-for-3 on stolen bases in four games last week.

Angel Bello

17-year-old right-hander Angel Bello made two starts last week for the DSL White Sox, with his second outing being the more dominant performance. In said outing, Bello allowed two hits, one run (unearned), and struck out five. Across both outings, the Venezuelan hurler threw seven total innings allowing seven hits, two runs (one earned), one walk, and had seven total strikeouts.
