White Sox Minor League Recap 5/13/2016: Anderson homers again, Davidson shows off his power, Dash win thriller, Banks terrific in loss

Charlotte 8, Durham 3
Jacob Turner got the start for the Knights, and he went six innings while giving up three runs on seven hits with five strikeouts. Blake Smith and Will Lamb both were excellent in relief, as they combined for three scoreless innings. It was the Matt Davidson and Tim Anderson show at the plate for the Knights, as they both had nights to remember. Anderson stayed red hot, going 3-for-4 with two runs scored and a two-run homer, his second of the season. Davidson went 3-for-4 with two runs scored and two home runs, both two-run shots. Davidson has six home runs on the season, and is now hitting .250/.356/.457. Andy Parrino also had a nice night offensively, going 2 for 4 with an RBI.
Chris Volstad makes the start tonight as the Knights look to win the series in game two of three with the Bulls.
Jackson 2, Birmingham 0
Lefty Blair Walters made the start for the Barons, going five innings while giving up one run on three hits with three strikeouts. Nolan Sanburn was excellent in relief, as he fired two innings of scoreless ball without giving up a hit and striking out five. The Barons did not amount to much offensively, but Eudy Pina had a multi-hit game, going 2 for 4 with two singles. Courtney Hawkins had the only extra-base hit on the night,  as he went 1 for 4 with a double.
The Barons will open a five game series with the Tennessee Smokies starting tonight, and Tyler Danish will be making the start.
Winston-Salem 5, Potomac 4 (11 Innings)
Jordan Stephens turned in a very nice start for the Dash, going seven innings while giving up three runs on six hits with six strikeouts. Connor Walsh and Andre Wheeler each hurled two scoreless innings, while Wheeler came away with the win. At the plate Gerson Montilla went 2 for 4 with two RBIs, and Toby Thomas went 1 for 5 with a double and two RBIs. Mason Robbins went 2 for 5, and Brett Austin went 1 for 4 with a double and two runs scored. Adam Engel turned in another solid game after being demoted this week, going 3 for 5 with a double, RBI, a stolen base, and two runs scored. His RBI single in the bottom of the 11th walked it off for the Dash in exciting fashion. 

Spencer Adams gets the ball tonight as the Dash square up with the Nationals in game two of a four game set.
Hagerstown 4, Kannapolis 1
Tanner Banks was lights out on his start, firing six innings of two hit ball while giving up one run and striking out five. Ryan Riga did an excellent job in relief, pitching two scoreless innings and striking out two. Offensively, the Intimidators were only able to muster out five hits. Cody Daily led the way going two for three with a double and a solo home run, his first of the season. Antonio Rodriguez also had a nice night, going 2 for 3 with two singles.
Southpaw Johnathan Frebis makes the start for the Intimidators tonight, as they will meet with the Suns for the third game of a four game series.
