Scouting Report

The 6-foot-2, 190-pound Cuban signed with the White Sox for $300,000 in July of 2018 and looks to be a steal for that price. Ramos possesses bat speed, strength and raw power that could project out to 20 homers per season. He uses the entire field, but needs to work on pitch recognition and can also have an aggressive approach at times.

Defensively, Ramos shows a strong arm at third base. The White Sox shifted him across the diamond to first base for six games with the AZL White Sox in 2019 and he held his ground there. The White Sox also plan on having Ramos test out second base, giving him an opportunity to let his power play up at that position.

For his size, Ramos runs decently well, but speed won’t be one of his best tools. He was one of the youngest players in the AZL in 2019 at 17 years old and he didn’t seem overwhelmed by it. He hit .277/.353/.415 as one of the youngest players on the roster.
