Star of the Day: Francellis Montas
Montas is no stranger to this section as each and every one of his starts have been strong to this point. Despite the Dash taking the loss, Montas certainly pitched well enough to win the game. Montas came out for the fourth inning after throwing three scoreless innings and had the first two batters reach on errors. Despite his fielders failing him, Montas continued to show off his strikeout-inducing repertoire while limiting the walks. The big righty struck out six while allowing no free passes, improving his strikeout-to-walk-ratio to 40-5 over 37 innings. If Montas continues to have these peripherals,21-year-old could find himself getting promoted sooner than previously expected.
