8/8/2014 Recap: Adams and Montas tag team in Arizona, Garcia continues to rake in rehab.

It was a tough night for White Sox affiliates as they went 2-4, though across the system there were big time performances from some big names such as Avi Garcia, Francellis Montas in his return, Spencer Adams continues to mystify the AZL and Rangel Ravelo continues to hit anything and everything.

Hopefully?” games by going 3-4 with a double and two RBIs. Avisail Garcia is now hitting .500 on the year (in AAA during his rehab) after going 2-3 before being lifted in later innings. Chien-Ming Wang was a victim to bad luck, giving up seven runs total but with only one earned as he took home the loss.

Francellis Montas and Spencer Adams were the pitchers for the AZL White Sox, so this game was in the bag before it started. Montas, in his first rehab start, went two innings with no hits and four strikeouts along with three walks that may be attributable to rust. Adams took over in relief and added to his gaudy KK/B numbers by striking out nine hitters over six innings and only walking one while giving up six hits and two earned runs. Adams now has 49 strikeouts and 3 walks to start his pro career. From the hitting side Jake Jarvis went 2-4 with a double, walk and two RBIs, Blair Moore went 2-3 with a double an RBI before being replaced in the 8th by Ryan Plourde who had a homer and two RBIs in his lone at bat and Micker Adolfo went 3-5 with two doubles and two RBIs.
