The Trending on the Farm series will highlight player trends from the top prospects in the White Sox system as well as any other notable performances across all affiliates.

Top of the Crop (Trending on the Farm)

NOTE: This piece will focus on players that are trending on the farm currently in the minor leagues. Bryan Ramos is omitted since he’s currently with the White Sox and Dominic Fletcher has exceeded rookie status. The “Top of the Crop” portion was determined prior to the Dylan Cease trade, hence why Drew Thorpe, Samuel Zavala, and Jairo Iriarte are all omitted.

Jake Eder

Jake Eder continues to trend in the right direction, hurling another solid start against his former teammates in the Pensacola Blue Wahoos. Over his last 20.2 innings of work, Eder has issued eight walks against 29 strikeouts, or an 8.8 BB% and a 31.9 K%.

Edgar Quero & Peyton Pallette

The tough offensive stretch continued for Edgar Quero last week, as he now has a .484 OPS over the last three weeks with just three extra base hits (two doubles, home run) in 15 games.

Grant Taylor & Jonathan Cannon

Grant Taylor made his professional debut last week with the ACL White Sox, striking out seven batters as he builds up post-Tommy John surgery.

Jonathan Cannon had a solid beginning to his start in Gwinnett, but a tough fifth inning chased him early as four base runners reached that inning, with three eventually scoring.
